2017 Asian Film Festival of Dallas Announces First Titles and Festival Parties

The Asian Film Festival of Dallas celebrates its 16th year with returning presenting sponsor Well Go USA Entertainment, from Thursday, July 13 through Thursday, July 20, 2017.

This festival year boasts its first women's showcase of Asian directed and produced films by women, due to the generosity of Dallas Women's Foundation's Orchid Giving Circle.  Sunday, July 16th will be dedicated to the women films.  This year also features more films than any other year!  70 films will screened throughout the week: 5 short blocks (Drama, Experimental, Womens, Late Night and Documentary) and 35 feature films.  Last year, the festival screened 50+ films.

Film fans can also expect films from the U.S., Singapore, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea and Tibet and from these genres: action, comedy, crime drama, documentary, drama, martial arts, psycho drama, thriller, romantic comedy and a special director's cut of an iconic repertoire.

Set in present day Mumbai the story follows the life of a serial killer Ramanna who is inspired by an infamous serial killer from the 1960s, Raman Raghav.
