iZombie Interview with Writer Bob Dearden at Austin Film Festival 2017

Writer/Story Editor Bob Dearden sat down with us at Austin Film Festival 2017 this past October to discuss his career and in particular his recent work on CW's iZombie series.  Here is our #TBT back to that Interview.  This is in anticipation of iZombie's Feburary 26th season 4 premiere!

Bob left his northern Canadian lifestyle behind for the extra mean streets of Austin, Tx in the early 2000-teens.  He joined UT's graduate screenwriting program and would go on to win the 2012 Longhorn Screenplay Competition.  He also was a semi-finalist at the 2012 Austin Film Festival TV writing competition.  It was through AFF that he first saw Writer/Series Creator Rob Thomas speak and through some help from faculty and friends at UT eventually would meet and befriend Thomas.  This relationship has sparked Bob's career ever since.  iZombie is the latest series that Bob has ventured onto in the footsteps of Rob Thomas.  It's also the series that Dearden has showcased his tremendous writing talents and the upcoming 4th season will highlight his work the most.  Well I think that is a good enough lead in.  Here is our chat with Writer Bob Dearden at last year's AFF.

The new season of CW's iZombie kicks off on February 26th.  For more information please go, here.

Keep eating brains and enjoying the fine work of Rob Thomas, Diane Ruggerio and all the great writers like Bob Dearden.
