Award-winning Canadian-Pakistani Writer/Director/Producer Zarrar Kahn talked with our Gadi Elkon about his powerful feature film debut, IN FLAMES.
After the death of the family patriarch, a mother and daughter’s precarious existence is ripped apart. They must find strength in each other if they are to survive the malevolent forces that threaten to engulf them.
Zarrar and Gadi talked about finding this story, his wonderful cast, and the incredible response/recognition to the film. In Flames was the official Pakistani entry for Best International Feature Film for the 96th Academy Awards. The film also was apart of Cannes Directors Fortnight and screened at TIFF, Busan and took home the Golden Yusr for Best Picture from The Red Sea Film Festival.
