ALAMO DRAFTHOUSE DFW NAMES JAMES WALLACE AS CREATIVE MANAGER

Alamo Drafthouse DFW, scheduled to open its first location this summer in the Richardson Heights Shopping Center, is pleased to announce that James Wallace has been named Creative Manager of Alamo Drafthouse Dallas/Ft. Worth. Primary duties will include programming, special events, private/community events, social media, and sales.

"James' diverse background, passion for film, and experience in this industry make him a great fit for this position and a valuable asset to Alamo's management team," said Alamo DFW’s Chief Operating Officer Bill DiGaetano about the choice.

A seasoned vet in the DFW film community at age 28, James began his career as the Managing Editor of Dallas-based online outlet Gordon and the Whale from where he then founded the events-based movie website I Heart Cinema, along with contributing to the Dallas Observer, Dallas Morning News' Quick Magazine, and numerous other national and local print/online outlets. He also served as the Marketing Manager for the Dallas Arts District and the Creative Director of the Dallas International Guitar Festival.

Regarding his new position, Mr. Wallace stated: "I could not be more thrilled and honored by this opportunity! It is a dream job come true, and I can't wait to get started in helping to transform the cinema scene in Dallas, in the very way that Alamo has done for Austin and beyond."
