IFFLA Interview with Executive Director and Founder Christina Marouda

The 2024 Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles kicks off tomorrow June 27th.  Our Gadi Elkon spoke with IFFLA’s founder and Executive Director Christina Marouda about the festival, highlights from the 21 previous festivals, and of course about this year’s wonderful lineup.

IFFLA’s annual festival, now in its 22nd year, offers a vibrant program comprising features and shorts, including narrative, documentary, and animated works. The festival showcases films from eight countries in the South Asian subcontinent – Afghanistan, Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka – as well as their diasporas in the US and worldwide.

Christina shared with us her time working at the AFI Fest and how it helped the creation of IFFLA.  Gadi and Christina discuss this year’s festival, the new Industry Day and so much more!
