Kinky Boots – Interview with Darius Harper

In anticipation of the Tony and Drama Desk Award winning production coming to Dallas we got to chat with Darius Harper about the angels, Lola, and much more!  Click through for an interview with Darius Harper of Kinky Boots.

I interviewed Darius a few days after the Patriots won the Super Bowl and so I asked the Mass. native about his thoughts.

Before we talked about his fine work on Kinky Boots, Darius told me about going from Regional work to Tokyo.

Darius was apart of the Chicago Company of BOOK OF MORMON and that became the 2nd National Tour and he talked about getting in on that production.

I asked Darius how LOLA entered his world?

For the Dallas run of Kinky Boots at DSM, Darius is going to be one of the Angels and he talked about the sure athletic nature of the show.

Darius talked about his favorite heels and outfit in the show.

"Not My Father's Son" is one of the more powerful moments in the production.  Here is the Broadway cast recording.

I asked Darius about the impact of such emotionally driven songs has on him.

Darius also explained how the tour has it's own emotional moments from city to city.

And he had a final wish that's come about from being apart of the Kinky Boots team.
