Mumbai Women’s International Film Festival organized by Oculus Creations is programmed to be from 9th -13th October 2013. The festival is being organized with the support of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC). An amalgamation of fun, knowledge, films and much more, the festival will be a great fair to attend!
The first edition of the festival has over 5 screening venues namely Fun Republic (Andheri), HDIL’s Broadway (Borivali, Bhandup and Oshiwara ) and Nehru centre. The festival will also be screening films of coveted filmmakers of Indian cinema like Nandita Das, Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, Honey Irani, Advocate Samrouddhi Porey and many others.
With over 7 categories like Short Films, Documentary Films, ‘HER’ film (Public Service Announcement-social cause of women), Feature Films, World Premiere, World Panorama and World Cinebusters; the festival provides an international platform to the filmmakers to screen their talent in front of the cinema experts.
Top notch filmmakers of the industry like Director Vivek Agnihotri, Aditya Datt, Bhavna Talwar, Ananth Mahadevan, Cinematographer Sudeep Chaterjee, Amitabha Singh, Sajan (Film) fame Director Lawrence D’Souza, Director and Red Chillies USA Head Shailja Gupta, Ad maker Geeta Singh, Film maker Nandini JS, Editor Namrata Rao and many others constitute the Jury Panel and Advisory Board of the festival.
