By John R. Strange
Saturday at MegaFest’s International Faith and Family Film Festival saw three red carpets, two film screenings, numerous panels and a very active media room filled with talent having their photos taken and giving interviews.
The CAPTIVE screening was prefaced by a red carpet. Ashley Smith, subject of the movie, and Terry Botwick, Producer, walked the red carpet and talked about the film at a Q&A following the film. Kayla Adams , Senior Public Relations Director at T.D. Jakes Ministries moderated the Q&A.
At noon we had a red carpet for the Millennials Panel saw panel members Romeo Miller, Luke Benward, Austin North, Porscha Miller, and Angela Simmons being photographed and talking to members of the press. Jawn Murry, the moderator, also walked the red carpet.
Next stop was the media room to see who came through. I was able to photograph NFL great Ray Lewis, Salli Richardson Whitfield, Boris Kodjoe, Nicole Ari Parker, and Tasha Smith. I also photographed LaTeef Sarnor, CEO/Founder of Kollide TV, and Will Campbell, CEO of Quantasy.
At 3:00 PM, MegaFest had a red carpet for the film WAR ROOM. Actresses Priscilla Shirer, Karen Abercrombie, and Alena Pitts from the film were photographed and then talked to the press.
