NFDC Film Bazaar introduces Producers’ Lab this year

Film Bazaar, the promotional arm of NFDC (National Film Development Corporation Ltd) Ltd, announced today a new program ‘Producers’ Lab’ and invites aspiring producers to apply from across the country. The deadline for submission of entries is 05 October 2013. Film Bazaar- South Asia’s global film market, in its seventh edition this year, will be held from 20 – 24 November, at Marriott Resort, Goa, alongside IFFI.
 
The Producers’ Lab will consist of interactive workshops, case studies, and one-on-one meetings, spread over three days conducted by domestic and international producers, sales agents, buyers, festival directors, programmers.

The three-day (21st- 23rd Nov) indicative program will include sessions on:

  • Role of a Producer
  • Development Process of a Film
  • Budgeting
  • Navigating International Co-productions
  • Film Financing
  • Importance of Film Festivals and Markets

Eligibility criteria of Applicants

  • Credited as a Producer / Line / Executive / Supervising Producer in at least one feature film or short or documentary film 
  • Proficiency in English as all sessions in the Lab will be conducted in English and mostly by international speakers / trainers / mentors
