Proof + Pantry Will Host Dallas VideoFest 27 After Party Following Opening Night Film

Proof + Pantry will be hosting an after party event for patrons of the Dallas Chamber Symphony and VideoFest 27 on October 8th following the concert screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s The Lodger.

After the concert screening at Dallas City Performance Hall, VIP ticketholders can meet up across the street at 1722 Routh Street for complimentary appetizers and a drink from the bar. DCS musicians and film-composer Douglas Pipes will be on hand to sign autographs and mingle with guests.

Proof + Pantry is a multi-faceted, progressive American eatery offering simplicity and sophistication in design, drinks, and fodder. Focused on clean flavors and impeccably-sourced ingredients, insight is drawn from seasonality and global cuisine. The beverage program will include a collection of carefully-crafted cocktails and wines that reflect a dedication to quality, diversity and originality.

The Proof + Pantry menu by Chef Kyle McClelland is organized by category, including Soil, such as Baby Radishes, butter-dipped served over Rye Soil; by Land, offerings such as Day Old Duck Egg, served with Lamb Belly and Frisée; by Sea, serving up Raclette Tarts, served with Smoked Salmon Roe, Honey Crème Fraiche and Green Onion; and, Bulk, includes items to share such as Fried Whole Fish with Bok Choy, Shishito Peppers and Exotic Mushrooms as well as nightly and weekly specials.

The Proof + Pantry beverage menu is organized by proof, including No Proof, with unique offerings such as the James N’ the Peach with Peach Shrub and Topo Chico; Low Proof, such as the Pickled Cobbler with Dry Sherry, London Dry Gin, Pickling Juice, Agave Nectar, Rhubarb and Cherries; and High Proof, such as the Cards on the Table made with Strawberry Cardamom Highland Tequila, Lemon Juice, Agave Nectar and Black Pepper.

Proof + Pantry have well-positioned themselves to be integrated within the Dallas Arts District, offering special dishes and libations to sync with current performances. Co-owners of restaurant group Misery Loves Co., Michael Martensen and Sal Jafar II envision “a concept which minds the gap in food & beverage that currently exists, ushering front and center a new type of eatery which truly plays the part well with the Arts District community.”

The restaurant will cater to the neighborhood and destination diners, as well as special events, creating a diverse clientele and vibrant ambience to be relished by all. Lucy Burns, partner in the Billingsley Company which oversees One Arts Plaza stated, “The Proof + Pantry team have transformed the space into an inviting and comfortable setting for Arts District patrons, our tenants and residents to enjoy delicious craft cocktails and food. We’ve been anticipating their arrival and we’re excited to officially welcome them to One Arts and the Dallas Arts District.” One Arts Plaza garage parking will be complimentary after 5PM with restaurant validation and valet is $5 all day, every day with restaurant validation.
