It was announced today that ChaiFlicks, the streaming platform specializing in Jewish and Israeli content in North America, Australia, and New Zealand, has acquired the exclusive rights to the second season of the enormously popular and critically acclaimed series “WARTIME GIRLS” from acclaimed Polish producer and distributor, Telewizja Polska S.A.
The announcement was made by Neil Friedman, co-founder of ChaiFlicks. The streamer aired the first season of the award-winning Polish drama show earlier in 2022 to an incredible response and has now acquired the exclusive rights for the first and second seasons as well as an option on the subsequent third and fourth seasons, and any future seasons to be produced. The second season, which has never aired outside of Poland, will premiere on July 14th, 2022, with the first two episodes, with the remaining episodes releasing one per week over the following 11 weeks.
Directed by Michal Rogalski and written by Marek Kreutz, “WARTIME GIRLS” was nominated for the Magnolia Award at the Shanghai International Film & TV Festival. “WARTIME GIRLS” tells the story of three young Polish women, each from a different background and social standing, who band together to fight against the Nazi occupation of their country during World War II.
“’WARTIME GIRLS’ epitomizes ChaiFlicks’ mission to present the very best in Jewish entertainment from around the world. We are thrilled to partner with Telewizja Polska S.A. on this extraordinary series and honored to be its home,” said Neil Friedman, Co-Founder of ChaiFlicks. “Our subscribers devoured the first season and have been anxiously awaiting its return. We are proud to bring it to our viewers in North America, Australia, and New Zealand.”
