Sound of silence to echo on celluloid

Chandra Talware lost her most of her hearing in an accident over two decades ago. But in her world of silence lay abundance of creativity, thoughts that were effortlessly weaved into words and sentences to give the form of stories, tales complete with songs. No wonder then, that her husband Ramesh Talware and son Pravin Talware decided to give wings to her dreams and enable her to see her maiden feature film penned by her with lyrics by her as well.

Directed by Shirish Rane, the Marathi film Bhavishyachi Aishi Taishi, a film that  shows how human being’s want to conquer over the future messes up his present, began with a music recording at  Swarlata Studios, Mhada, Andheri (W). Present were producer Ramesh Talware, director Shirish Rane, music director Salil Amrute, singers Pragati Joshi, Umesh Joshi and Neha Rajpal, actor Pravin Talware, writer Chandra Talware, and EP Mukund Bhujwal among others.

The recording session included four songs comprising of the title track ‘Bhavishyachi Aishi Taishi’; ‘Anand Nava’ which is a picnic song; ‘Bhavishya Janun Genya Sathi’ which is a sad song and ‘Bahuli Majhi Sazli Ga’ which is a fun song.

Music director Salil Amrute was very excited about the songs of the film as it deals with a real life issue. He asserted, “I am blessed to get an opportunity to compose the songs of this film. The subject of the film is quiet interesting and modern, so are the songs.”

‘Bhavishyachi Aishi Taishi’ revolves around three modern young girls who are sharing a flat in a metro city. The three girls have their own beliefs and takes on astrology, though they have a wonderful equation as friends. Their life takes a turn with the arrival of an astrologer who predicts that one of three girls, a nonbeliever, whose life takes a 360 degree turn with the prediction.

Director Shirish Rane shared that, “we got a catchy title ‘Bhavishyachi Aishi Taishi’. Like the title, the film too has a subject of substance. It has a balanced mix of entertainment, suspense and thriller. It’s a woman-oriented film, with the script being the hero.”

Adds Pravin Talware, “my character in the film is very interesting and has shades of grey. I have worked on my look and physique to suit the character.”

The writer Chandra Talware however has the final word… “my words and stories that were a part of my silent world today have found a third dimension, thanks to my husband and son. I am very happy to see my film being made.” Incidentally, this just seems to be the beginning of Chandra who has already penned her next set of films, complete to the lyrics. Looks like direction will be the next step for this writer, who is happy that her family has brought to life her colourful world on celluloid!
