“Stuck Out of Love” Begins Filming in Oklahoma

Dawn’s Light, LLC, in association with the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO), is pleased to announce the start of principal photography in Oklahoma on the upcoming feature film “Stuck Out of Love”.

Richard Switzer and Colin Edward Lawrence serve as the film’s producers marking their second feature film to utilize the Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program administered by OF+MO. The duo recently completed production on “A Deadly Romance” earlier this month, and are happy to be producing their second feature film in Oklahoma.

“I’m very excited to be producing this second film here in Oklahoma,” said Switzer. “We had such a great experience with ‘A Deadly Romance’, and I look forward to another successful shoot – and hopefully many more projects here.”

Directed by Peter Foldy from a screenplay by John Burd, “Stuck Out of Love” is a romantic comedy that tells the story of Amber, a newly single young woman whose life is sent into a tailspin when she begins re-living the same day over and over again.

“Stuck Out of Love” stars Jen Lilley (“Days of Our Lives”), Andrew Lawrence (“Hawaii Five-O”), Jonathan Bennett (“Mean Girls”) and Kassandra Clementi (“Unreal”). Lead casting for this film, as well as “A Deadly Romance”, was facilitated by Casting Society of America (CSA) Casting Director Ricki Maslar, an expatriate who recently returned back to Oklahoma after spending decades working in Los Angeles.

"I am thrilled to be part of these projects that are filming here in Oklahoma,” said Maslar. “It raises the profile of the state in the entertainment industry as well as provides jobs and a positive boost to the economy. Due to the efforts of the Oklahoma Film + Music Office, the message is getting out to the industry at large and educating people on what a wonderful state this is to work in."

“Stuck Out of Love” began its two and a half week shoot on August 15, 2018, and will be filmed throughout the City of Guthrie. Of his experience filming on-location in Oklahoma thus far, Director Peter Foldy said, “Making our film in Oklahoma has been an amazing experience. The unique, timeless locations and the friendly people – such as Leroy Alsup from Guthrie City Hall who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate us – make Oklahoma, and Guthrie in particular, a town to definitely keep in mind for our future projects.”

Producer Colin Edward Lawrence seconds Foldy’s positive impression of filming in Oklahoma adding, “There’s something special about this place. Not just the picturesque locations, perfectly preserved historical architecture and beautiful pastel sunsets; it’s the people. Everyone’s been so helpful and accommodating. We’re incredibly thankful for the opportunity to film here, work with local craftsmen and women, and to be welcomed into this community with open arms.”
