Writer Benjamin Percy and Director & Co-Writer James Ponsoldt coming-of-age tale, intended to give their own daughters a film for them, is the perfect sun setting moment for 2022.  Here is our Gadi Elkon interviewing with Benjamin, James, and cast members Lake Bell, Sarah Cooper, Lia Barnett, Sanai Victoria and Eden Grace Redfield.

During their last days of summer and childhood — the weekend before middle school begins — four girls struggle with the harsh truths of growing up and embark on a mysterious adventure.

Summering is in the ilk of coming-of-age classics like STAND BY ME, NOW & THEN and shows like STRANGER THINGS and/or PAPER GIRLS.  A film that relishes the lessons learned in a fantastical summer of discover and lost innocence.  Ponsoldt, Percy and this group of ladies have given us the summer closing film needed in a pandemic impacted country.
