The Dallas Chamber Symphony will launch its 2016-'17 concert season – its fifth – Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Dallas City Performance Hall. The season boasts a variety of musical experiences, including two world premieres, its first-ever simulcast at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas and renewed collaborations with Video Association of Dallas and Bruce Wood Dance Project.
“The Dallas Chamber Symphony has made extraordinary strides in the past several years, and is looking forward to a bright future as everyone we continue to enhance, refine and extend our artistic offerings,” said Richard McKay, conductor and artistic director of the DCS. “We expect DCS’ upcoming performances to delight audiences and continue to enrich the downtown Dallas arts scene.”

F.W. Murnau’s classic drama is screened in concert by the Dallas Chamber Symphony at Dallas City Performance Hall, Oct. 18 at VideoFest 29, and performs the world-premiere of a new DCS-commissioned musical score by Joe Kraemer. Kraemer’s credits include JACK REACHER and MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: ROGUE NATION.
A free simulcast of the event will be presented at Klyde Warren Park. This event is made possible by the Jean Baptiste (Tad) Adoue III Fund of The Dallas Foundation.
