The Dallas Film Society, in association with the Dallas Video Festival, will be partnering with the Texas Independent Film Network (TIFN) to celebrate Texas made films and filmmakers through Fall 2012. The first Dallas screening, SEARCHING FOR SONNY, will take place on August 20, 2012 at 7:30PM at the Angelika Film Center, Dallas. Fort Worth director, Andrew Disney, will be in attendance.
The TIFN is a statewide network of film societies, independent theaters and universities, united for the purpose of screening Texas-made independent film. This is a chance for audiences across the state to see critically acclaimed films that may otherwise not appear in their cities, all the while supporting indigenous filmmaking here in Texas.
The 2012 Fall Program features alum from the 2012 Dallas International Film Festival – Brandon Dickerson with SIRONIA and Jonny Mars with AMERICA’S PARKING LOT. The Fall line-up will feature:
