THE NUDELS OF NUDELAND – A Review by John Strange
I normally love independent movies. But over the years I have found a few that just weren’t for me. Sadly, The Nudels of Nudeland is one of those films.
Tim Chizmar has written a film that allows him to parade around nude. The story looks silly, the premise certainly is. The acting is hit and miss but that’s okay because the script for the first half of the movie is terrible.
About the mid-point, the script finally and gives us something worth watching, a love story. It becomes somewhat watchable, except for the guy playing “their conscience”. He was just… bad.
There are some nice artwork used in the film. There is a cop who seems to be everywhere (including Nudeland) named “D. Mann”. There are, of course, several scenes in the pool area. And, for some reason, shots of beautiful landscape and wildlife from all over the globe, though the main action was shot in Pasadena, California at a nudist bed and breakfast (per IMDb).
Is this a good advertisement for the clothes-free lifestyle? Nope. Is it funny? Uh, not really. Is it NSFW? Yep! Very!
Throughout the film they talk about clothesfree.com. It really exists. I only pulled up the home page but didn’t go any farther than verifying that the URL is real. The fact that it really exists was not something that I was expecting.
Weighing in the good with the bad, I have to give The Nudels of Nudeland 3-stars. It’s okay.
