The Queen of England has sent an appreciation letter from Buckingham palace to veteran composer Bappi Lahiri on his melodious composition on the 60th anniversary of her coronation. A fusion of Ganesh vandana with a prayer that blesses the Queen with long life, the composition saw yet another facet of this versatile genius who becomes the first Indian composer to be lauded by the Queen.

This achievement is another feather in his already overcrowded cap. Considering that Bappi da was awarded the Justice for Widows Award recently for his composition and contribution on International Widows Day at The House of Lords, looks like we will soon see the veteran crooning at Buckingham Palace very soon. Here is looking forward to that!
