7th Annual Israel Film Center Festival – Interview with Filmmaker Avi Nesher

For over four decades, Avi Nesher has been one of the leading voices in Israeli cinema. Both pioneering and impactful, Nesher’s films are not only some of Israel’s biggest hits, but they opened the door for Israeli films to succeed in international markets as well.

The 7th Annual Israel Film Center Festival wanted to honor Avi with a retrospective of his career as well as showcasing his latest film, The Other Story.  Avi Nesher was awesome enough to chat with us about the film, his process and so much more.  Here is our chat with legendary Israeli filmmaker Avi Nesher!

His latest, The Other Story was one of this year’s most successful Israeli films. We will honor Nesher with two films from his extensive filmography. Turn Left at the End of the World (2004) Nesher’s biggest box office success in Israel that brought new energy to Israeli cinema. Next, the newly restored Rage and Glory (1984) follows a cell of the Stern Gang that begins to fall apart during an attempt to assassinate a senior British officer in pre-state Israel.  From 7th Annual Israel Film Center Festival website.

And here is our chat with filmmaker Avi Nesher.
