Austin Film Festival 2017 – Interview with Writer/Director Monika Petrillo

Long time script supervisor turned director Monika Petrillo had an in-depth chat about her move from Munich to America, her career and her latest film!

"After years of working as a script supervisor alongside directors such as Austin's own Robert Rodriguez, Rick Linklater and Mike Judge, Monika Petrillo has written and directed her own short film, WINK. The film won the AUDIENCE AWARD at Dances With Films earlier this year and is also playing at the Hollywood Film Festival, Pittsburgh Shorts and Marina del Rey Film Festival this month.  The 15-minute piece, starring Caitlin Brandes and Michael Chandler, tells the story of a lonely and slightly repressed housewife who discovers an unusual way to spice up her afternoon."

Here is our interview with Monika Petrillo where we dive deeper into her work with those above mentioned Directors (a few more!), her dabbling in TV, Her documentary film, the AFF 2017 Short Film WINK and much more.

WINK will screen twice, on October 28th, 2017 at 9:30 PM at the Rollins Theatre, located at 701 W Riverside Dr. and on October 30th, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the Galaxy Highland, located at 6700 Fiskville Rd.
