Austin Jewish Film Festival – AMERICA – Interview with Writer Director Ofir Raul Graizer

Award-winning Israeli filmmaker Ofir Raul Graizer was at this weekend’s closing night for the US Premiere of his film, AMERICA.  Ofir talked with our Gadi Elkon about the film, his team and so much more!

An Israeli man returns to Israel after 10 years in America. An encounter with a childhood friend and his future wife will change everyone’s lives. A story set between a flower shop and an ancient monastery, a swimming pool and the Mediterranean Sea, life and death – and somewhere in the middle.

AMERICA is a visually-stunning intimate exploration of the deepest of friendships coming together thru tragic cautious.  The film is also Ofir Raul Graizer’s second feature film following the success of THE CAKEMAKER.  Ofir talked with Gadi about the music/sound design, the vibrant color scheme, the flower/water motifs, and even shared a major influence on his film.
