Digging For Fire – Interview w/ Jake Johnson & Steve Berg

Joe Swanberg's latest film is the funny and enjoyable Digging For Fire.  We got to chat with lead actor and co-writer Jake Johnson and actor Steve Berg about this entertaining film.  Click through for the fun chat that covers the film's real life inspiration, Sam Rockwell, cinematographer Ben Richardson's pimp style, SPORTS(!), and even a singing performance from Jake!!

My interview with Jake Johnson and Steve Berg started w/ a simple question about the title of the film being related to a Pixies song.  From there we talked about partying with Sam Rockwell, Mike Birbiglia (though I butcher his name – 🙁 even though I love his comedy!!), working with awesome cinematographer Ben Richardson, Kansas Jayhawk basketball (Rock Chalk JayHawk), Chicago sports and that led to Jake Johnson singing "Take Me Out To the Ball Game".  This was such a loud moment that after the interview the other press people came in and asked what my question was to the fellas.   Ok, check it all out…

The film sadly is already out of Dallas and Austin theaters, BUT you can totally see the hilarious film on Itunes and on Amazon.

The incredible cast alone is reason enough to check out the film!!

For more information on the film check out their Facebook page.
