DUSTY AND STONES – Interview with Director Jesse Rudoy, subjects Gazi “Dusty” Simelane and Linda “Stones” Msibi

A feature-length documentary about a country music duo from the African Kingdom of Eswatini (Swaziland) and their first trip to the United States.  Filmmaker Jesse Rudoy and subjects Gazi “Dusty” Simelane and Linda “Stones” Msibi talked with our Gadi Elkon about their story, their journey and their documentary!

Dusty and Stones struggle to sustain a country music career in their tiny African Kingdom of Swaziland and yearn for greater recognition. When they are unexpectedly nominated to compete in a Texas battle of the bands, the two cousins journey to the heart of American country music, determined to win big and turn their careers around.
