“Impropriety” Begins Production in Oklahoma

Formula Features, LLC, in association with the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO), is proud to announce the start of principal photography on the feature film “Impropriety”, which began August 14. The production will shoot for three weeks in Oklahoma City and the surrounding area, including Norman, El Reno and Edmond.

“Impropriety” is being produced by Anoop Rangi and directed by Nadeem Soumah who have worked together on several previous films, with this being their first time to film in Oklahoma.

“We have worked with casting director Ricki Maslar for many years, and she is the one who initially brought Oklahoma to our attention,” said Rangi. “The locations here have not only fit our needs, but provided things that could not be found so readily in California. Additionally, we’ve been impressed with the depth of skill and enthusiasm of the local crew.”

Over 20 Oklahoma crew members were hired to work on the film. Among them, Jada Merritt is working as the second assistant director; Jonah Schoenborn is working as the first assistant camera; and Diane LeCrone is working as the production designer.

“We are always grateful when our industry brings new business to our state, especially the ‘Impropriety’ team who have been diligent about hiring locally,” said OF+MO Director Tava Maloy Sofsky. “We hear time and time again that incoming productions have great experiences working with our professional crew members and support services, which we agree are some of the best in the business.”
