The amazing Iris Apfel was at the 45th USA Film Festival a few weeks ago.  Click through for a roundtable conversation with the lively Iris!

Bruce Weber pointed out how engaging Iris is to everyone.  The first thing Iris did when meeting the four interviewers was ask us about who we were and did we like the film.  She completely focused on you when it was your turn for a question.  The lively, witty, intelligent woman has not lost a moment of quickness with her sharp retorts and responses.  She's on point all of the time even now at age 93.  Iris is an inspiration.

IRIS – Interview with the amazing Iris Apfel:

We started our chat by talking about how she didn't want to be apart of the film and about seeing the documentary for the first time.

She discussed getting to know the great Albert Maysles and also answered my question of why she finally said yes to the documentary.

Iris lets you all know why clothes today are way to EXPENSIVE and also expanded on why she's so beloved by everyone.

She talked about her love of traveling and how today's travel sucks compared to the 50s and 60s.

I asked where she houses all her amazing clothes and she also talked about her favorite style of lipstick.

Finally we discussed Iris' time in Dallas and why back in the day it was the IT place.

Don't miss this amazing look into Iris Apfel.  It's not only an incredible documentary about fashion, but it's also a real love story.  It's also the final film from one of the real masters of documentary film the great Albert Maysles.
