Having watched 2021’s Nobody, I expected to see a violent film in the new Nobody 2. The film I watched was a blend of John Wick and National Lampoon’s Vacation, complete with all of the humor and violence they inherited from their predecessors!
Hutch Mansell (Bob Odenkirk) followed his natural inclinations and now finds himself locked into an agreement with a shadow agency to work off the debt created when he burned millions of dollars that belonged to a Russian bank. He is paying off his debt one violent mission after another.
Following a very violent mission, and at the request of the family that didn’t get to see their father and husband very often, Hutch is convinced to plan a vacation.
Where would Hutch want to go? Plummerville, the only place he and his family visited on a vacation when he was a kid. However, the fun that the family members expected to experience didn’t come off quite the way any of them expected.
The humor in this film, as Hutch beats the crap out of all comers, is very droll. Odenkirk has the ability to keep a straight face even in the middle of some of the wildest fights!
His family members, Dad David (Christopher Lloyd), wife Becca (Connie Nielsen), son Brady (Gage Munroe), and brother Harry (RZA) are each good candidates for the world of John Wick!
Nobody 2 is a fun (though violent) watch. The Mansell family shows us that they have all inherited an ability to “take care of business”. I had a great time watching this family’s vacation!
Leave the young kids at home and sit back to enjoy this wild movie!
