NUEVO RICO is your 2021 SXSW Animated Shorts Jury Award winner. The 16 minute short dives into the Latinx Future world where brother and sister siblings journey to stardom as Reggeaton artists. The vibrant animation was a global effort with teams from Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Vietnam and Philly! Jackie Cruz is Barbie and Antonio Vizcarrondo is Vico the sibling duo that leads us on the colorful adventure of Nuevo Rico.
