A loving tribute to country music’s most enduring superstar, the musical journey traces the legendary singer’s rise from her hometown in Winchester, Virginia to the Grand Ole Opry, Las Vegas and Carnegie Hall. Cline defined the term “crossover hit” by dominating country, blues, pop, and gospel charts simultaneously in the 1950’s and early ‘60s.

The full-stage production, which is sanctioned by the Patsy Cline Estate, features the singer’s meteoric rise with performances of 21 songs in settings such as WINC Radio Winchester, the Grand Ole Opry, the Mint Casino in Las Vegas, Tootsie’s Orchard Lounge in Nashville, and Carnegie Hall.  Steve Barcus co-stars along with the Patsy Cline Band.

Julie and I started out discussing some of her fondest moments on the stage.

The show has a real live venue feel with the real band and the fluid interaction with the crowd.  Julie truly gets to have moments with many of the patrons and she talked about relaying the DSM story to a young girl at the show I attended.

Julie talked about the fun of playing Matinee shows as well as the evening shows.

We talked about getting to sing Patsy.

I asked Julie about the versatility of the shows set movements and changes.

Julie talked about the close knit team she works with for the show.

And of course we talked about clothes and jewelry.

I asked Julie about an iconic moment that is one of the highlights of the show.

We discussed the wonderful humor throughout the show.

Julie talked about how the show is going to be hitting the road in a few months!

I asked Julie about her favorite type of music to listen to.

Julie talked about her current teaching gig and the great students she's surrounded by.
