John 'Breacher' Wharton (Arnold Schwarzenegger) leads a DEA Special Operations team. He and his team steal ten million dollars during a drug raid on a cartel safe house. When they go to pick up the cash it is gone. There are no clues to tell the team who stole it.
The FBI calls the team in for questioning because, somehow, they can tell that the huge pile of cash which Breacher’s team destroyed was short the ten million. The team spends six months defending themselves from the theft charges. Finally, unable to locate the cash or make someone talk, they release the team for active operations.
Shortly after their reinstatement, one of the team, Tom 'Pyro' Roberts (Max Martini), is killed when his motor home is struck by a train. The first death was about to be ruled a suicide until another member of the team who is found nailed to his ceiling.
The investigators on the case, Caroline Brentwood (Olivia Williams) and her partner Jackson (Harold Perrineau), are hard pressed to make any progress because the DEA team obstruct their every move. The only team member who seems to be willing to help Lizzy crack the case is Breacher himself.
For fans of Schwarzenegger films, this one will make you take a new look at him. His Breacher character is darker than any role he has ever done. He is an anti-hero, damaged and full of pain; and worth watching.
This movie is a violent and bloody flick. There are even some of Joe Bob Briggs’ favorite body parts (boobs) put on display. For that reason, I can’t give it a FULL PRICE for the average moviegoer. For you, see it at a MATINEE and I think you will be happy.
