Turner Classic Movies (TCM)'s annual 31 Days of Oscar® is going alphabetical this year with a month-long lineup that starts Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 6 a.m. (ET). In keeping with this year’s theme – "31 Days Oscar From A to Z" – TCM will feature an alphabetical showcase of films that have either won or been nominated for an Academy Award®, with a new letter featured nearly every day, beginning with John Cromwell's Abe Lincoln In Illinois (1940) and ends on March 3 with Costa-Gravas' political thriller Z (1969).
Among the highlights during the month will be the TCM premiere of Dreamgirls (2006) on Tuesday, Feb. 7. The film version of the Broadway musical inspired by the Supremes features a star-studded cast headed by Jamie Foxx, Beyoncé Knowles, Eddie Murphy and Best Supporting Actress winner Jennifer Hudson.
