THE NEW ORLEANS BOOK FESTIVAL 2022 – Interview with Author Cappy McGarr

Wrapping up our coverage from The New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University 2022 here is our interview with Cappy McGarr.  Cappy is an American entrepreneur, fundraiser, author, and Emmy-nominated producer.

Under the leadership and guidance of co-chairs Cheryl Landrieu, former New Orleans First Lady, and Walter Isaacson, the Leonard A. Lauder Professor of American History and Values in Tulane’s School of Liberal Arts and bestselling author, the festival held more than 60 panel sessions with a lineup of 130 authors.  The festival was held on the beautiful campus of Tulane University from March 10th-12th.

Cappy met with our Gadi Elkon for lunch and later a zoom video interview when both were back home in Dallas, TX.  Gadi and Cappy talked about McGarr’s hilarious book, THE MAN WHO MADE MARK TWAIN FAMOUS:  STORIES FROM THE KENNEDY CENTER, THE WHITE HOUSE AND OTHER COMEDY VENUES.  They also talked about Cappy’s early days in west Texas, his long history attending and representing the University of Texas, his family and much more!  A master story teller and all around funny gentleman here is Cappy McGarr.
