Award-winning Filmmaker Sam Davis and our Gadi Elkon discussed Davis’ short film, THE SINGERS.

From Academy Award® Nominated filmmaker Sam Davis, The Singers is a genre-bending film adaptation of a 19th-century short story written by Ivan Turgenev, in which a lowly pub full of downtrodden men connect unexpectedly through an impromptu sing-off.

Sam and Gadi talked about the unique casting choice for the short and how it helped make this shoot totally unique.  Sam discussed the where, when and how behind the short film and expanded on some of the influences behind the shot choices.  Davis talked about shooting on film and how it makes this short look spectacular.

Here is our Interview with Filmmaker Sam Davis:

The short film is still traveling the film festival circuit.
