Filmmaker Robert Rippberger and Star BooBoo Stewart talked with our Gadi Elkon about their harrowing film, THOSE WHO WALK AWAY.
VMI’s Those Who Walk Away follows Max and Avery (Booboo Stewart and Scarlett Sperduto) on their first date. After meeting on a social media app, their evening takes a perilous turn when they end up at a local haunted house, the home of ‘Rotcreep’, a sinister creature that rots your body and soul with one touch. As the night turns into a deadly game of cat and mouse Max and Avery begin to realize the trauma they share may either save them or erupt into an unforgettable nightmare.
This film was shot on a continuous take style like Children of Men, 1917 and Rope. Robert and BooBoo talked about the whirlwind element of pulling this film off. They discuss the technical and prep elements needed to accomplish such a film, the nonstop nature BooBoo felt while doing it and so much more.
