The 2015-2016 TITAS season is an all dance showcase with 9 debuts and 2 world premieres. At the post show Q & A for DIAVOLO it's Artistic Director, Jacques Haim, was extremely excited about the incredible season Charles Santos has picked for 2015-2016. Here is the upcoming season for TITAS.
Breaking Normal: A phrase that describes the collage that is the TITAS Presents 2015/16 Season—a season featuring the world premiere of the Twyla Tharp 50th Anniversary Tour, of groundbreaking, trailblazing dance companies lighting up stages across the globe. The AT&T Performing Arts Center with TITAS Presents and four powerhouse national presenting colleagues are the commissioners making this tour possible. A remarkable artist, it is an honor to open our season with Twyla Tharp. Together, the Center and TITAS hope this is the first of many future commissioning projects that will define our commitment to supporting the creation of great art.

The season begins with the 50th Anniversary of the legendary Twyla Tharp.
Now here are the 3 works that I'm most excited to see next season:
Kyle Abraham / Abraham.In.Motion (World Premiere)
Kyle Abraham has mixed the modern hip-hop world with the history of dance to create something not only beautiful but relevant to today's youth. He's the wave of the future of dance in America and abroad. A few years ago he gave one of the most compelling and heartbreaking TED talks. It was raw and powerful. Check out this amazing figure in dance.
Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan
TITAS has always strived for a global presence and in my interview with Charles Santos (here), he talked a lot about traveling to see shows. This particular show really has me excited. The beauty of the landscape with the power of the dancers should be amazing to witness in the majestic Winspear Opera House.
Innovative and original work by this unique duo should be one of the more talked about shows next year. Reve means dream and I can't wait to see what is in the mind of Mr. & Mme.
Excitement is coming. See you at the next TITAS show!
