CAP – Interview with Writer Director Marshall Tyler

Writer/Director Marshall Tyler’s short film is a jarring and heartbreaking look at the sudden impact of gun violence.  The story follows young teen Manny Bennett who decides to highlight his wardrobe with an expensive new cap.  A school bully forever changes Manny’s world by stealing the slick headgear.  Powerful performances from Dusan Brown as our lead Manny, Tunde Adebimpe and Medina Senghore as Manny’s parents help showcase why HBO loved this short film.

Marshall and his team made bold choices to distinguish this short.  It is one of the most gripping works I’ve seen this year.
