Dean Sorenson, former 26-year Dallas Police veteran turned actor was run off the road …

As reported by WFAA ( Dean Sorenson, cop-turned-actor, was run off the road, and those that have worked with him are raising money to cover the medical and legal fees associated with the wreck—as well as raising awareness to the problem so that witnesses might step forward and the other party might be found. The “Friends of Dean Sorenson” (fellow actors and friends of Dean's who met on the set of the film “Pros and Cons”) was organized to raise funds for Dean. The organization has done much to raise money for this cause; however, they are taking it a step forward with TWO (2) Benefit Concerts in the Dallas/Fort Worth area—one in Dallas and one in Fort Worth.

Hosted by local Dallas radio air personality, “Paladin,” the concerts will take place on Saturday, October 23rd, at Rock Dogs in Fort Worth (7120 South Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas) and on November 6th, at Reno's Chop Shop in Dallas (210 North Crowdus, Dallas, Texas 75226) and will feature rock talent of various genres as well as regional, national, and touring acts. Headlining both shows will be Joey C Jones—number one selling artist in Europe for sixteen weeks in 1986—known for his efforts with Sweet Savage, Crabtree, and his solo projects. The concerts will also be dedicated to Joey C Jones' best friend, Tony A Lopez, attorney, who passed away on August 28th, 2010.
