“What Josiah Saw” Completes Production in Oklahoma

WhatJosiahSawFilm, LLC, Randomix and Gemini Girls Productions, in association with the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO), are proud to announce the completion of principal photography on the feature film “What Josiah Saw”. Principal photography began in mid-November and lensed for four weeks in Central Oklahoma.

A psychological horror film, “What Josiah Saw” is about a family with buried secrets who reunite at a farmhouse after two decades to pay for their past sins.  The film stars Robert Patrick, Nick Stahl, Scott Haze, Kelli Garner, Tony Hale and Jake Weber. Directed and produced by Vincent Grashaw (“And Then I Go”, “Coldwater”) and written by Robert Alan Dilts, the production hired over 60 local industry members to work as cast or crew.

“The locations we acquired greatly surpassed my expectations,” said Grashaw. “Sometimes it can be difficult marrying a location in your mind to a place that actually exists — in most cases it’s never perfect — but from the locals helping point our little film in the right direction and everyone at the film commission, it was surprisingly very easy! Fantastic incentives aside, Oklahoma’s landscape is exactly what I was looking for in executing this film.”

“We are happy to hear that the ‘What Josiah Saw’ team found success in Oklahoma and even more excited that they utilized a couple of untapped communities around the state,” said OF+MO Director Tava Maloy Sofsky. “The variety and quality of our locations allow productions to find the creative look they’re searching for, and our talented local industry members are more than willing and ready to help incoming productions bring that vision to life.”
