TOP 15 FILMS OF 2015:  MID-YEAR RANKING

15.  Predestination – Wonderful mind boggler to start the year.  Showcased new talent in Sarah Snook and greatness from Ethan Hawke.

14. This Isn't Funny – A real special treat from DIFF 2015.  Love the comedic taste of this group of fun folks.

13. Black Souls (Anime Nere) – Gritty mafia story told in the heart of the Italian mob.  Ultimately a heartbreaking story of 3 brothers.

12. Mr. Holmes – Amazing performance by Ian McKellen that should garner some Oscar buzz.

11. Kingsman: The Secret Service – Outrageous fun from the highly underrated Director Matthew Vaughn. 

10. '71 – Suspenseful mastery from a young director and a new super talented actor.

9. Spy – Paul Feig hits another perfect triumph with Melissa McCarthy.  50 Cent even is awesome!

8. Ex Machina – Alex Garland is a writer-now-director to keep both eyes, ears, and your entire mind on.  Oscar Isaacs dance # is great.

7. Mad Max: Fury Road – Adrenaline rush the entire way through.  I love the theory of who Tom Hardy's character really IS!

6. A Borrowed Identity – Wonderful Israeli film that is a great coming of age story with a Hitchcockian twist and a real sense of humor.

5. Felix & Meira – Honest and realistic look into a bold woman's choice to leave her orthodox husband.  Powerful.

4. Inside Out – Pete Doctor is a real treasure to the modern film world.  The Pixar Short – LAVA is also AMAZING!

3. Dope – Intelligent and hilarious film that needs to be seen by EVERYONE.  Blake Anderson!!

2. What We Do In The Shadows – Honestly the most unique comedy of the year and a total laugh riot.  #DeliciousNecks

1.  Me and Earl and the Dying Girl – Pure bliss.  Sundance approved – Grand Jury and Audience Award winner!
